In this episode, I talk to Dr Molly Varga about how to approach and manage urine scalding in rabbits. We discuss the importance of understanding how interrelated factors can result in the development of urine scalding and how we can use this to break the cycle. Dr Varga also gives us useful tips on how to initially stabilise and treat these rabbit cases.
Dr Molly Varga is a RCVS recognised specialist in Zoo and Wildlife medicine and is the Head Exotic veterinarian at Rutland House Referral Hospital. Molly has contributed to many publications including several of the exotic BSAVA manuals. She is also the author of the revised and updated second edition of the Textbook of Rabbit medicine.
